Halloween excitement arrives a little early in Hemphill this October. On Monday, October 26, 2026, Hemphill ISD is hosting a Trunk or Treat event from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hornet Gym parking lot, inviting families to enjoy an evening of candy, costumes, and community spirit.
For families spending time in Mid Lake Campground, it’s another opportunity to enjoy the Halloween season while experiencing the welcoming atmosphere of a local school event.
Halloween Fun With a Community Feel
Trunk-or-treat events bring a creative twist to traditional trick-or-treating. Instead of traveling from house to house, children visit decorated vehicles where participants distribute candy.
The result is a festive gathering that gives families a chance to celebrate together in one location.
Hemphill ISD’s event emphasizes both the treats and the sense of community, making it an appealing activity for families with young children.
Bring Your Halloween Spirit
The event flyer features colorful Halloween decorations, pumpkins, candy, and a decorated vehicle, setting the tone for a cheerful seasonal gathering.
Families can plan for an evening of trick-or-treating and time together. Specific costume requirements, participation rules, and additional activities are not listed on the flyer, so guests should follow any updated guidance provided by Hemphill ISD.
